Some lyrics of recent comfort:
Because God won't forget
All the things he's made for me.
He's not finished with me yet.
He's not finished with me yet
Whatever you do
just don't loose heart
Keep on pushing back the dark.......
Don't underestimate the God you follow
You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight till the final round
Your not going under
Cause God is holding you right now
You might feel down for the moment
Feeling like its hopeless
That's when he reminds you
Your an overcomer
One thing about the bitter sweet note the radio had to offer- especially Christian radio- is that songs are limited enough that all the current songs are continuously played along with every song written in the past 20 years. This playlist of songs seems to restart about every three hours. The redundancy is sometimes exhausting, but at the same time, if the song is played at the right time, its speaks to the soul as if it was heard for the first time, rather than the hundredth.
Part of this journey through the roughest time of my life has got to consist of the search for peace and gratitude.
It is crucial for sustainability.
These prior songs have spoken life to what feels like the weariest of times.
May the redundancy act as a source of etching to my souls memory of the goodness and faithfulness of the Maker of Mercy.
Speak hope. Speak life.
